How Airlines Are Helping You This Cyber Monday
December 02, 2024
Cyber Monday is here! Before the “most wonderful time of the year,” millions of consumers in the U.S. and around the world are heading to their computers and smart phones to take part in one of the biggest online shopping days of the year.
As you fill your cart with holiday gifts and essentials, U.S. airlines are working to ensure your purchases arrive safely and on time. Whether you’re ordering festive decorations, the latest electronic device for yourself, something for your home, a new toy for a little one or the perfect present for a family member, airlines are ready to deliver this holiday season.
U.S. airlines transport over 61,000 tons of goods globally every day, and more than 1 million airline employees are working across the industry to help transport goods and fly a record number of travelers to their destinations.
Here’s how airlines are going the extra mile to support the holiday rush:
- Carriers like FedEx and UPS have added thousands of seasonal workers to handle increased demand.
- Atlas Air is working with countless businesses to transport a range of products to customers as well.
- Advanced technologies are making it easier than ever to track your package’s journey.
Adobe Analytics predicts consumers will spend a record $13.2 billion on Monday, December 2, 6.1% more than last year. Online spending is expected to peak between the hours of 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday night, with $15.7 million spent every minute! More than 97 million people shopped on Cyber Monday last year, with 77 million of those people shopping online.
As you checkout this Cyber Monday, you can be confident that airlines are working to get your purchases where they need to go!
