A4A Carriers Ready for Busy Holiday Shipping Season

With the winter holidays on the horizon, A4A’s member airlines are working hard to get your gifts to you in time for the holidays.

U.S. airlines are transporting more than 61,000 tons of goods across the world daily. From the perfect gift for your loved ones, to high-value electronics, fresh food, live animals and life-saving medical supplies – the more than 1 million employees across U.S. passenger and cargo operations are dedicated to safely and efficiently transporting goods and travelers this holiday season.

In addition to providing advanced tracking technologies, both FedEx and UPS hired seasonal workers across the country to help better serve customers during the holiday rush. Atlas Air is working with countless businesses to transport a range of products to customers as well.

During the holiday season and with an uptick of deliveries, remember these tips:

• Utilize tracking services, including those offered on carrier apps;
• Order with ample time to ensure delivery on time;
• Check shipping policies and delivery times;
• Be mindful of shipping restrictions.

To make sure your gift arrives in time, be sure to ship your packages by the following dates:

FedEx:

• Tuesday, December 17 is the last day to ship FedEx Ground 5-day shipping for delivery before Christmas Eve.
• Friday, December 20 is the last day to ship FedEx 2Day for delivery before Christmas Eve.
• Monday, December 23 is the last day to ship FedEx Overnight for delivery before Christmas Eve.

UPS:

• Thursday, December 19 is the last day to ship UPS 3 Day Select for packages to be delivered before Christmas Eve.
• Friday, December 20 is the last day to ship UPS 2^nd Day Air packages for delivery before Christmas Eve.
• Monday, December 23 is the last day to ship UPS Next Day Air packages for delivery before Christmas Eve.

USPS:

• Wednesday, December 18 is the last day to ship with USPS Ground Advantage Service for delivery before Christmas Day.
• Thursday, December 19 is the last day to ship with First-Class Mail Service for delivery before Christmas Day.
• Saturday, December 21 is the last day to ship with Priority Mail Express Service for delivery before Christmas Day.
