Statement by A4A President and CEO Nicholas E. Calio on the Confirmation of Administrator David Pekoske

WASHINGTON, September 15, 2022 — Airlines for America (A4A) congratulates David Pekoske on his confirmation for a second term as Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator.

As we emerge from the pandemic, Administrator Pekoske’s leadership, partnership and strategic vision have helped restore commercial aviation while strengthening security and enhancing the customer experience. His focus on security innovation is critical to increasing efficiency, the value of which cannot be overstated especially as millions of travelers return to the skies and countless consumers depend on air cargo shipments.

David Pekoske knows what it takes to get the job done – and done right – and he is absolutely the right person to lead the TSA for the next five years. A4A and our members look forward to our continued partnership and collaboration with Administrator Pekoske and the TSA.
