A Better Flight Plan

Connecting Communities

Member Monday

A4A member airlines work hard every day to provide high-quality customer service, delivering passengers and packages safely to their destinations. By transporting people and goods, U.S. airlines connect us to cultures and traditions across the world, making it a smaller place.

While as passengers we may not always be witness to their great work, the evidence is all around us. In case you missed it, here are highlights from a few of our member airlines last week.

Alaska Airlines

When a young Alaska Airlines passenger on the autism spectrum was afraid before his flight, SFO supervisor Michelle stepped in and helped the young flyer feel more comfortable before his vacation.

Southwest Airlines

Happy Shark Week! If you’re taking off with Southwest this week, you can celebrate the festivities by tuning into the Discovery Channel live onboard and checking the side of your plane for special shark livery!

United Airlines

United Airlines had the privilege of flying the Flame of Hope, escorted by a Special Olympics athlete, in honor of the organization’s 50th anniversary.

UPS

When UPS employee Trenton Lewis’ coworkers found out he walked 11 miles each day to work, the rest of his team pitched in to donate money for him to purchase a car. The story went viral and even caught the attention of former President Bill Clinton, who decided to treat Lewis, his daughter and his coworkers to lunch in Little Rock.
