New blog – A Better airlines.org/blog with travel tips and airline industry insight– takes off at
WASHINGTON, July 8, 2014 – Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading U.S. airlines, today announced the launch of its redesigned website, which offers a more engaging user experience and highlights the positive connection between airlines, customers, jobs and the economy. The blog, A Better , can be found at airlines.org/blog, and will provide a channel to discuss issues of interest to passengers and shippers, airlines and their employees.
The new website brings air travel information and key industry statistics to life using visual elements and interactive platforms with easy print and social sharing functionality. A new passenger portal explores the anatomy of a flight from planning a trip through baggage claim and customs, and provides travel tips for each step of the process.
“Airlines are vital to the U.S. economy, creating jobs and connecting people, products, cultures and ideas,” said Jean Medina, A4A Senior Vice President of Communications. “Our goal in redesigning our website and launching A Better is to share stories and provide insight into the industry’s ongoing work to enhance the customer experience.”
A Better encompasses various aspects of the airline industry and how U.S. carriers are working to improve air travel for everyone. Focus areas will include safety and operations, the environment, improvements to air travel, passenger tips, economics, public affairs and legislative issues.

A4A also launched a branded Facebook fan page, which will provide a forum for business and leisure travelers, shippers and aviation enthusiasts to engage with the airline industry.
