Our member airlines work hard every day to provide high-quality customer service, delivering passengers and packages safely to their destinations. Through the transfer of people and goods, U.S. airlines connect us to cultures and traditions across the world, truly making it a smaller place.
While as passengers we may not always be witness to their great work, the evidence is all around us. In case you missed it, here are highlights from a few of our member airlines last week.
In the wake of Hurricane Irma, American Airlines’ “Storm Riders” kept their Miami hub running and pitched in to help those in need.
During Hurricane Irma, FedEx rushed to the rescue of more than 150 cats and dogs from Miami-area shelters and safely transported them to a no-kill shelter in Oakland, California.

LUV is in the air! When Southwest passengers Blain and Thanh Bastow weren’t able to recite their personal vows at their wedding, Blain surprised Thanh by professing his love for her onboard their flight.
“I just want you to know you’re the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and that I love you with all my heart. I will do my best to be the best husband that anybody has ever been. I hope that I can do right by you.” @mkbruner_art captured this sweet moment on a recent Southwest flight. Blain and Thanh had just got married, but weren’t able to read their own vows at their wedding. So, Blain called his wife to the front of the plane, and professed his love for her in front of his fellow Passengers. Click the link in our profile to watch the full video. Congrats to the Bastows!
